The Ex-international’s Cup
THE EX-INTERNATIONAL CUP
FC Henry Nwosu’s victory in the inaugural 32-team Ex-Internationals’ Cup (2024) marked a significant milestone in the history of the Lagos State Football Association (LSFA).
The Ex-Internationals’ Cup was created to honor our Living Legends by having them play a pivotal role in inspiring and guiding our aspiring youths toward achieving their sporting dreams.
The tournament also provided an opportunity for these Legends to reunite and relive their playing days.
By directly interacting with the youth, the Ex-Internationals became known to and remembered by a generation that never witnessed their glory days on the field. As head coaches and mentors of the participating teams—each bearing the name of the attached Ex-International—they provided invaluable guidance.
The tournament also welcomed active foreign-based players, offering home-based talents the incredible opportunity to play alongside them.
As we look forward to future editions, we anticipate the involvement of even more Legends, ensuring this event continues to grow in prestige and impact.
